Her long career in films actually ended in 1964 with “The Night Walker” but by this time she had already established herself as an accomplished television performer.  Indeed, like so many other top celebrities through the decades have done, she hosted her own television series - "The barbara stanwyck movies Show", for which she received and EMMY award in 1960.  Another EMMY award followed with Barbara Stanwyck starring in a long-running Western series "The Big Valley where she played the matriarch of a frontier family.
